Practice Philosophy
My name is Carolin Limas, and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and Registered
Dental Assistant (RDA). My journey in the field of dentistry began in Indonesia, where I
graduated from Trisakti University with a degree in Dental Surgery. During my time at Trisakti, I
developed a deep passion for oral health and patient care, which has driven my career ever since.
Upon graduating from Trisakti University, I had the privilege of working as a professor assistant
at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department for a year. This experience was invaluable, as
it allowed me to work closely with skilled professionals and gain practical insights into the
complexities of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
In pursuit of furthering my career and expanding my horizons, I moved to the United States.
Here, I continued my education and professional development, obtaining my Registered Dental
Assistant (RDA) license. I began working at Abri Dental, where I honed my skills and gained
extensive experience in patient care and dental procedures.
Driven by my passion for oral health and my desire to make a more significant impact on my
patients' lives, I decided to pursue a career as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). I enrolled in
the Dental Hygiene program at West Los Angeles College, where I graduated with cum laude
honors in 2021. This accomplishment marked a significant milestone in my career, and I am
incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication it took to achieve it.
In addition to my clinical work, I have also had the opportunity to give back to the dental
community by teaching at the Dental Assistant Program at West Los Angeles College. Teaching
allows me to share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of dental
professionals, and it is incredibly rewarding to see my students grow and succeed in their
careers.
As a dental hygienist, my primary goal is to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. I
am committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and
continuously improving my skills through ongoing education and professional development. I
believe in a holistic approach to dental care, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures
and patient education to promote overall oral health.
Looking ahead, I am excited to continue my journey in the field of dental hygiene. I am
dedicated to making a positive impact on my patients' lives and contributing to the advancement
of dental care. Whether through clinical practice, teaching, or professional development, I am
committed to excellence in all aspects of my career.
